There are a few things that intimidate me in the kitchen. One of them is the root ginger. Don’t get me wrong, I love ginger. I love how it quieted my morning sickness during my two pregnancies within 17 months and I love the flavor it lends to stir-fry and any dish I want to give an Asian flare. But, I am still intimidated by it and any recipe that calls for “fresh grated ginger”.
That is until I found, Gourmet Garden’s array of tube herbs and spices. This product has changed my culinary life.
Great for Busy People
Gourmet Garden has a variety of herbs and spices that they have made into individual pastes. They couldn’t have made it any easier for us busy people to prepare healthy and delicious meals. Each of their 14 flavors comes in a small tube with easy to read directions for the equivalents of the fresh ingredient. This has saved me time in the kitchen and an extra trip to the supermarket.
Best of all these tubes of taste allows me to keep many herbs and spices on hand to use whenever a recipe calls for it regardless of what I feel like making that night, I can be creative in a crunch. And that I love.
Ginger, Basil and Parsley are Staples in My Kitchen
Just to give a few examples of where I use these flavors in my regular recipe rotation, I use the ginger in my, “Better-Than-Take-Out Orange Chicken”, the basil in the “Basic Tomato Sauce” and the parsley in “Greenlight Chicken Salad”. At any given time you will find a slew of these pastes on the shelves on my refrigerator door because I literally use them whenever a recipe calls for an herb or spice in Gourmet Garden’s spice repertoire.
You can find Gourmet Garden’s Herbs and Spices in the refrigerated produce section of your supermarket.
